Short description: According to the report of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania (2017), the majority of citizens do not have interest in culture due to the lack of accessibility and time. Every second person is not interested because of personal reasons and every fourth person is indifferent or has other interests. The consumption of global, popular culture, the rapid pace of life, the lack of information and diversity, and the lack of a culture of consumption are all major causes of the devaluation of local and national cultural identities. This project aims to develop a high-quality, inclusive local cultural identity, seek innovative solutions and contribute to the development of a diverse range of professional cultural activities.
The core ambition of the project is to provide professional art and culture outside the institutional space (library, museum, cultural center, etc.); to organize open meetings and discussions with professional cultural creators, art workshops and educations for families, and other cultural and artistic valuable activities for the city in an intimate, apartment yard environment.
