Short description:
The Book Presentation Contest, organized by Šiauliai county Povilas Višinskis public library (SCPL), which has become a tradition, this year was presented in a new way! After the previous contests achieved excellent results and received positive feedback from the cooperating libraries and participants, it was decided to further expand the event. In 2020, SCPL initiated the 25th anniversary competition, which was organized throughout Lithuania, and the age of participants was not limited.
One participant or group of participants, consisting of a maximum of 5 people, were invited to select and present one book and submit the presentation in video format. The winners of the competition became the 15 best, most original works selected by the jury and “Facebook” users.
This project aims to encourage children and adults to read and develop reading, creativity, critical thinking skills, awareness and self-expression.
