Short description:
A project “Increasing the Availability of Information Resources in Šiauliai”, initiated by Šiauliai county Povilas Višinskis public library (hereinafter – SCPL), is intended to promote reading and to popularize a new service – a safe, contactless book lending. It is especially relevant nowadays as due to the COVID-19 pandemic libraries are restricted and but there is an increasing demand of books.
Using book lending terminals, Šiauliai residents can pick up ordered books at a convenient time both during and after the quarantine, even when the library is closed. Book terminals provide an opportunity for readers of libraries in Šiauliai city (SCPL and SCMPL) to borrow books safely and conveniently.
