The final event of the project-contest “MediaLab / Baltics” took place in Daugavpils (Latvia) on May 2-3. The aim of the project is to unite active teenagers who are interested in media literacy and media content creation from the three Baltic countries.
First meetup’s winners from Lithuania, pupils from Šiauliai Didždvaris gymnasium, met with teams from Latvia and Estonia and competed for the first place. During the event, students listened to lectures on social media, media literacy and participated in teambuilding activities.
During second half of the day, they had a task – to create a media content, that would illustrate your generation by telling about one member of your group. All three teams did this task using different formats: students from Lithuania created a video including the interview method, girls from Latvia recorded a podcast, and Estonians wrote the article and introduced it. All the work was evaluated by the Jury.
During the award ceremony, the winners of “MediaLab / Baltics” were announced – a team of students from Lithuania, Šiauliai Didždvaris Gymnasium (Goda Karinauskaitė, Augusta Severa Lukošaitytė, Vasarė Gaupštaitė, Airidas Brikas, Karolis Sniečkus).
