On August 5, the library welcomed very special guests from the U.S. Embassy Vilnius – The Ambassador Robert S. Gilchrist, and the Public Affairs representatives Sara V. Stealy and Jurgita Jacovskienė.
The library has been cooperating with the U.S. Embassy since 2005, when an American Corner was established in the library by the agreement between U.S. Embassy in Lithuania and Šiauliai county Povilas Višinskis public library in order to familiarize library visitors with U.S. culture, economy, literature, history and promote intercultural cooperation.
During the visit, guests visited Book Graphic Center and had an opportunity to create ex libris dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the library.
