On February 24-25, the representatives of the U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section visited the library – Sara Stealy, and Saulius Montvila.
During the visit, the guests attended the English Club‘s meeting where they met and talked to members of the club and also learned more about the traditional Lithuanian holiday – Mardi Gras. Well, this celebration goes together with pancakes so everybody had a chance to taste freshly baked pancakes with sour cream and raspberry jam on the side!
On the following day, the representatives had an opportunity to get a closer look at the library, its facilities and services. Guests attended the ex libris workshop and made their own unique book plates. During the meeting, activities of the American Corner were discussed together with its plans for the future and the upcoming 70th anniversary of the library.
