We present a new, free of charge library service – book lending terminals. Order books from Šiauliai county Povilas Višinskis public library and pick them up at your convenient time, even when the library is closed!
A project “Increasing the Availability of Information Resources in Šiauliai City“, initiated by Šiauliai county Povilas Višinskis public library, is intended to promote reading and to popularize a new service – a safe, contactless book lending, which is especially relevant nowadays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The book lending terminals will provide an opportunity for the readers of Šiauliai county Povilas Višinskis public library to borrow books safely and conveniently, both during and after the quarantine, as well as when the library is closed.
Book lending terminals can be found at:
- Šiauliai county Povilas Višinskis public library (Aušros al. 62).
Ordered publications are delivered on working days.
- Shopping center “Saulės miestas” (Tilžės st. 109).
Ordered publications are delivered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays after 3 P.M.
HOW TO USE A BOOK LENDING TERMINAL
- Order the desired publications online at savb.lt
- Each time you order publications online, submit a request by filling out the form HERE: enter your reader’s ID number, mobile phone number, and indicate at which book lending terminal you wish to pick up the books.
- Receive an SMS message with the login code of book lending terminal and only then come to pick up the books.
- When you receive an SMS message, come to the selected book lending terminal and enter the received login code. Take out your publications.
- The ordered publications must be picked up from the book lending terminal within the time specified in the SMS message.
- To pick up reserved publications from the book lending terminal, you must submit a request no later than two working days before the expiry of the reservation.
- You can pick up the ordered publications at the book lending terminal at any time of the day, seven days a week.

- Book lending terminals are not intended for the return of books. Books can be returned to book return devices located at Šiauliai county Povilas Višinskis public library (Aušros al. 62).
