Short description: The project aimed to motivate society to read books and to provide local and regional community to familiarize and explore new books, cultural novelties and participate in cultural, artistic and educational activities.
The motto of Šiauliai Book Fair 2018 was “Inspire Lithuania”. With it the library wanted to address the issue of emigration inside and outside the country, wanted to reduce social exclusion and division between the capital and the rest of the country.
This is a unique, annual, event in North of Lithuania that attracts local, regional and national publishers, authors, cultural personas, etc. Moreover, it attracts over 3000 participants in a single day.
